Moved to Etsy.com!!
In March 2010, for business purposes, I decided to close up shop (www.sophiepearl.com) and throw a couple things on Etsy under a new name. Well, 171 sales later, I decided to keep on trucking with a new freshly inspired line, Coralie Beatrix, 'Handmade and Inspired my the Sea'! Although you may still see unique vintage inspired style, it'll now be draped in the best most luxurious comfort knits, inspired by a leisurely life by the beach and surfing! Please be sure to visit my new site, coraliebeatrix.etsy.com and become a fan at www.facebook.com/coraliebeatrix by sophie pearl.

Cleaning out my Closet

Now that I'm a full time 'surfer mom', I hardly have the time or energy to get dolled up in my cute vintage dresses!
Therefore, cleaning out my closet, I filled four XL bins full of fabulous vintage dresses, coats, etc. Although I cannot part with a few extraordinary pieces, the rest I plan to list on either my website or ebay... I'll keep you posted!
The Latest!
While organizing fabrics, I found some bustiers that I'm finishing and attaching skirts to. One's the top half of a vintage swimsuit, the other is the top portion of a dress that made tons of (and ran out of fabric).
Should be cute! Goal is to list on website by next week!

Today's Creative Outlet
I have succeeded today in filling my inner desire to be creative, while taking care of the home, through gardening. Never before have I really had an interest, but I really got into it and found that it is sort of an art form, and a way of expressing yourself!
Sophie desperately needed to get out of the house, so on my hip we went to the local nursery with a a $50 budget. I chose my little friends primarily based on beauty and balance combining grey and purple leafy plants, succulents, and ornamental grass. Very English garden combined with a touch of Spanish? Who knows, but I love it, and will probably be the only one to appreciate it's beauty! (Cross my fingers that the $70 I ended up spending doesn't die over night!)
Am I on a roll toward sewing again?? I hope so! I need to make a dress for Sophie to get her first JCPenney pictures taken in...... Although tomorrow is a total beach day and the waves are getting good!

Inspirations

Life in San Clemente is like living on vacation. I live in my flip flops and baseball cap, and that's okay here! My style has become so casual that I can't help but being inspired to create comfy yet cute and original clothes that have mad style.
Here are some examples at http://www.sophiepearl.com/....
